I received the clock as a kind gift. I loved it -- until it came time to take the clocks out of the holder. I had to use a slim blade to get it out and it took several minutes. It was very awkward. It seems no one considered ease of removal in the design of this product. After I finally removed the clocks, I put in the batteries. One worked, the other didn't. This has been a total time-waster. What a shame, since the clock is so attractive and such a great gift idea (if it were better designed -- and if it worked).
I was surprised by the review someone did on this clock. We have had it in our home for many months now and haven't had any problems with it. It is with our clock collection on a vintage sideboard and we have placed it in the middle because of it's color. It's just as eye-catching as we had hoped when visitors enter and truly grounds all the others. It doesn't look really expensive or anything but seems well-made and it's unique. A treasure that reminds us of Utah.
I was given this as a gift and wanted to love it...and I did at first. Then came time to change the battery and it was totally impossible to remove the face and replace the battery. It has a face on both sides so even using a very thin blade knife couldn't budge it. Therefore, I have to give this such a low rating and I ended up throwing mine to recycle.
