I was able to purchase all the pieces with the exception of the temple. If anyone knows of one for sale, please let me know.

this is a beautiful set...was really appreciated at our local nativity event. love how there are lights for some of the buildings. it is set up so the individual buildings can be on display without the base

I am so pleased with this, it came very securely packaged and the only issue I had was that one tree had the floral tape loose and was hard to get in the base. I have this on a low round table and it is so beautiful at night, the lights are in the base and so you don't have to deal with that. There is not a lot of color in the buildings, except the Lion House, but, the roofs have color and the light shines through. I moved away from Utah seven years ago, this summer I was able to take my Granddaughter to temple square and it is so nice to be able to bring a little Utah to where I am now. I will keep this up year round, it isn't too heavy in the Christmas look, but the lights are very mild and so pretty to look at.

And beautiful! But like I said, it's big (26x26"). So be sure to have enough space for it. The Christmas Village Set base will fit nicely on a dining table, and perhaps a wider coffee table, but not on a console table or a smaller/narrower surface area.
The reason why I bought the Christmas Village Set is it reminds me of my mission on Temple Square. As a Return TSqM sister missionary, this set holds a lot of meaning for me. So I was extremely excited when I saw it in the catalogue. Then when I discovered it was on sale for a limited time online, you bet I nabbed it!
The trees (the ones that you place inside the provided stumps on the base) light up, including the buildings. I have not tried it at night yet (it arrived today and I have just set it up), but I'm looking forward to it!
A couple of caveats. My shipment arrived via FedEx and the box came upside down. Which resulted with a broken Assembly Hall (a couple of the spires broke off). Also, the trees do not all fit the stumps well. Some need to be wedged in, and others are just too big. Only one out of the four trees that came with the set I received fill well in the stumps. I managed to wedge in another, but it somewhat smashed the outer coating and damaged some of the inner material... I’d rather not wedge a tree containing fiber optic lighting.
However, Deseret Book Customer Service was fabulous. I spoke with a real nice lady, and they will be replacing the Assembly Hall, including the trees, and will ship them off to me, at no extra charge.
One thing that I was told is the replacement trees may not be too much different as those that I have now. If one fit, then I told her I have faith that others will too, so I’m taking the chance.
For Deseret Book's wonderful Customer Service, I give 5 stars.
For the Christmas Village Set, it’s lovely, but with all the trouble I’ve experienced, I give it 4, even though I will be receiving a replacement Assembly Hall. The trees, however, we’ll see how the next shipment turns out.
