Product Description

It's never too early for parents and teachers to help children gain a testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel. The Testimony Glove invites children to practice sharing their testimonies by using the glove. Pictures, which attach to the end of each finger, represent Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith with the Book of Mormon, the temple, and our current prophet, President Thomas S. Monson.

Outstanding Teaching Aid
By , Submitted on 2015-02-25

This is a wonderful teaching aid to assist parents and teachers help children understand a testimony. It is truly a multi-sensory experience (read/hear the text; see the illustrations; wear the glove, etc.) to help children understand the most essential elements of the gospel. By using hands and gloves, abstract principles become more concrete for children--and adults. I have taught Primary for years and know that children learn through interactive and hands-on experiences. I'm grateful this approach is available to help me teach children!

Excellent Idea

What a great starting point for teaching about what a testimony consists of. A parent/teacher can bear their testimony by the Spirit, using the glove as a visual, and then, over time help the learner to feel their own testimony of the truthfulness of each part. One element at a time could be the focus of a family night lesson as well as an overview of how to gain a testimony, eg D&C chapters 8 and 9 and Moroni 10 etc.

Terrible tool for teaching testimony building.

I purchased this thinking that it would be a great tool to help my children with their testimonies. After using it once I threw it away. I honestly don't want my children to recite something and saying that it is their testimony. Small children don't even understand what they are saying and I felt terrible hearing them recite their "testimonies" as if it were lines from a play they had memorized. I think I'll teach them the Gospel and let them develop their own testimonies for themselves instead of forcing them to memorize something.
