In a word?
Never have I found a book that so perfectly describes the many different roles of being a mommy.
On every page is a mommy who does--or did--have a profession that is now either juggled around or has been sidelined for the 'Mommy years'.
A picture book full of heart and with which every mommy--and their children--will connect.
The bright, busy pictures and cheerful rhyme captivated my grandchildren at the first glance. And second. And third.
Okay, we read it a lot.
And this Gramma? Cried.
Got kids or grandkids?
This is a great way to tell them what Mommies do!
P.S. Have tissues handy.
I loved this children's book! I love the pictures, each and every one of them is so detailed and just so much fun.
I loved the little poem, the way it rhymes is super cute. But I really loved the way it talks about the moms and the reasons that moms stay home with their kids. I loved the feeling that each and every mom has something that they are able to teach to and basically pass on to their kids. No matter what they did before, or during raising their kids.
And something that I found really fun was that there is a recipe for one of the treats in the back that's mentioned in the book, as well as how to make a volcano like is mentioned and pictured in the book and how to do a couple of the yoga poses mentioned as well.
I really enjoyed reading about how this book came about. You can read about it here.
This is such a cute children's book that I loved! Go get your own copy!
I love children's books so much. I don't have little kids to read to any more, but I hopefully will be a grandma one day, and have tons of nieces and nephew that I can share them with. I love to have them, they just make me happy. This book is no exception!
The book is such a sweet story about Moms spending time with their kids when they are home from work, or stay at home moms. It made me stop and think that about how much quality time I am spending with my kids. I have always been a stay at home mom, but sometimes we don't actually spend "quality" time together. I admire so much those moms out there that work and still take those sweet moments with their kids. It's so important.
It reads so sweet, with rhymes, and beautiful illustrations. This would be a sweet gift for Mother's day. If you're like me and don't have Littles it would still be a sweet gift!!!! I treasure children's books with their sweet, simple messages for life lessons, and love to share them with kids that come to my house.
I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful book.
