"Where do I go from here?"
It's a question almost every young adult woman asks herself in the years following her walk across the stage at high school graduation. What comes next? An education? A full-time mission? Marriage? A family? A career? The choices are not always predictable or easy to make. And with all the obstacles young women face today, it's often difficult to know what is right for your own life and purpose.
In Where Do I Go from Here? young adult women are invited to step back and consider their gifts, their challenges, and the needs in their world and thus discover a sense of their own personal mission. The authors provide down-to-earth advice, spiritual insights, and personal accounts of women who have met these pivotal challenges with success. This encouraging book will help young adult women feel confident about their ability to make righteous choices suited to their individual circumstances as they discover a personal mission that will sustain them in their journey through life.
I am a 21 year-old return missionary, I want to thank the authors for putting together this fabulous book. Wow is almost all I can say. I bought the ebook about 3 days ago and I only have 50 pages left! I would reccomend this book to anyone.
I have felt very lost in many decisions I've felt pressured to make right now, but this book, coupled with my scripture study has been the voice of the Lord in my life and my saving grace.
I wanted to read this book ever since I saw a friend of mine reading it at Memory Grove. So, I found it brand new at D.I. and began to read. I tell you I've gained a lot about my own personal existence and personal life. I want to follow the path Heavenly Father has set out for me. So, it is a great reminder from these women to know that they are doing that, and there isn't any shame or regret which accompanies their life or from the choices they made because Heavenly Father loves them, and He loves us! So, follow His personal mission for your life. It's great to learn of different women and their backgrounds. I love the new perspective which came from reading each personal experience in this book. It's not long or drawn out in any shape or form. You also get a perspective adjustment from reading the authors personal experiences found in the book, intermingled with the other experiences of the young women. I recommend this to the young women in my ward because their life path may be similar, and can benefit greatly from seeing those who walked and came before them.
I saw a friend of mine reading this book a couple of years ago. I really wanted to borrow it, but she was very particular with loaning her books out. Which I respected, it wasn't until a few months ago that I was able to buy this book for a steal of a deal. And read it all the way through in one day. It gives you an insight in to the lives of many young women, single, married, return missionaries, and many more. It is personal, yet profoundly beneficial to understanding not every one is going to fit an image, nor do they have to. I really love gaining new perspective from women because I like to know how they got to be where they are, and where they are going. I recommend this to all my girlfriends, whatever their circumstances because we all can benefit from the stories of these young women.
A must read for any young single adult women. It makes a great gift for any girls graduating. I got mine from my sister when I was around 18 and now almost 6 years later I still read and reflect upon the stories and guidance it gives. It is in my library and I plan on passing it on when I am older and married :)
This book has definitely made a difference in my life. I've read it several times and every time I do. I realize that I do know where I am going and I'm following the direction the Lord wants for me. I'm so glad that I was able to share this book with some of my friends and family and they have found this to be a beautiful book for any YW or YSA gal to read.
