A Must-Have for Manly Men, and a Fun Read, Too!

I was thoroughly entertained while being well instructed about how to produce REAL barbeque. Quinn Orr has done much better than a mere recipe book here. This fast-moving mentoring session on paper will make you a barbeque fanatic and an authority at the same time. Highly recommended. I'd have enjoyed this even if I weren't into barbeque techniques.

This is a must have for your recipe collection. From the moment I picked it up it was hard to set down until I was finished. Quinn has offered great advice for the beginner as well as a seasoned barbeque lover. I love how he was incorporated life and humor into the teaching and the recipes. I can't wait to start cooking!!

Ok. You NEED to get this book. It's the ideal gift for any guy who is on the quest to make the perfect barbecue. Quinn's writing is fun, engaging and informative, while the pictures will force you to wipe the drool off your chin and vow to start experimenting with taste right away! This book succeeds in making the unattainable seem possible without sounding condescending or patronizing. A must-have for any one who likes a good BBQ!

Quinn L. Orr

QUINN "SPARKY" ORR was raised on a pig farm on the rolling plains of Southern Alberta; he loves to cook and never gets tires of pork. When he was a child, his mother had an open kitchen policy: if you're hungry, go cook yourself something to eat. When he became a Boy Scout, he spent a lot of time practicing how to cook things over an open fire in the backyard. As a teenager he built his first barbecue by welding together some discarded blades from road graders. The first thing he cooked was steak and beans, and his father said it was the best he had ever eaten. As an adult, his work as an Emmy Award-winning film producer/director has allowed him to sample and study the cooking techniques of many cultures in more than thirty countries around the world, including a two-year stop in France and Belgium. He loves to create good food and loves to teach others how to do it too. Quinn lives with his wife, family, and four barbecues in Farmington, Utah.
