Product Description

Every day Wemmicks do the same thing — either stick gold stars or gray dots on one another. The pretty ones, those with smooth wood and fine paint, always get stars. The talented ones do, too. Others, though, who can do little or who have chipped paint, get ugly, gray dots. Punchinello is one of these. In this delightful children's tale, children will love hearing how Eli the woodcarver helps Punchinello understand how special he is — marks and all.

Good but not the same.

I love this story. First heard it in one of my Beehive young women lessons. I wanted it for my children. Couldn't quite decide what the difference was between this one and the bigger one, so I was on a budget and got this one. The difference is it doesn't tell the whole story. The message is still there, and it's still good, but not as long. It stops after the first visit.

Great to for young children!!

My daughter (age 4) and I love this book!!! The main character learns that he is special no matter what others think, and that he has a creator that loves him very much (and made him the exactly the way he is on purpose). This book helps remind us of our Heavenly Father's unique love for us. I would definitely recommend it!

Wonderful story and teaching tool!

I bought this for my children and found I was using its precepts in my own life and to teach others. It is a wonderful analogy of life here on earth, how we are all wooden heads passing judgements on others as well as ourselves, how that affects others. One Punchinello is caught up in worrying about what others are thinking and being drug down by it...until he meets one girl named Lucia, who has GOT IT RIGHT! Everyone loves Lucia. He wonders why other peoples' judgements don't stick to her. She tells him to go see 'The Maker' and he will see! Punchinello's life is changed in wonderful ways as he has an interview with Eli. It is a precept everyone must believe if they want to soar in this life.

For Every Family

This book is remarkable. The story is profound and the truths in it are as much for adults as children. The artwork is gorgeous. I would recommend this for every family.
