In ancient times, the Lord told Abraham, “In thy seed… shall all the families of the earth be blessed, even with the blessings of the Gospel, which are the blessings of salvation, even of life eternal.” What are the blessings promised to Abraham, whom the Lord called “friend”? Why was he chosen to be the father of all the faithful of the earth? What do we know of his life? What do we know of his lineage, and how are the nations of the earth today blessed through it?
